The Ada Home is organized and grows according to principles governing the design and implementation of hypertext documents (cf. for instance CACM 38(8), August 1995, and Alertbox: Jakob Nielsen's Column on Web Usability).

The purpose of these principles is to increase the cognitive value and coherence of the Ada Home while minimizing the interference of user-interface adjustments. This very abstract purpose has been achieved by experiments, usability testing, continuous revision, and careful application of a set of hypertext design principles.
